Dynamic C Windows Demo Installation

Run setup.exe from the Program Manager File menu. When prompted
for a destination directory, type the drive and directory where
you want Dynamic C to reside, or use the default path that appears
in the setup dialog box.

If you already have an older version of Dynamic C you should
install into a new directory, not your old Dynamic C directory.
Some Demo libraries are incompatible with real controllers.
(programs using certain Demo libraries will not run correctly on
a real controller.)

The Demo installs and uses the same DCW.INI file in the windows
directory that real Dynamic C uses. Therefore installing the Demo
may change options such as window locations and serial port settings
which are already set. These options are easily reset from the
Dynamic C main menu or by dragging windows.

The demo slideshow is configured to run in the standard screen
resolutions: 640x480, 800x600, and 1024x768. It has been successfully
tested in 1280x1024 also. Non-standard resolutions may or may not
produce good results.

The Dynamic C for Windows Demo requires a 386SX or better processor
and Windows 3.1 running in 386 Enhanced Mode. Installation requires
at least 4 Mb of free hard disk space, and 4 Mb of available memory.
(Available memory includes free virtual memory, a system with 2 Mb
of RAM can still run the demo some virtual memory is allocated. Virtual
memory allocation is specified in through the Windows Control Panel.
The stand-alone compiler application should run with 2 Mb available
memory, the slideshow requires more.)

Known Bug In Demo:

Setting and stopping at 2 breakpoints in two different priority
real-time kernel tasks can cause the demo to hang (Ctrl+Alt+Del
fixes the problem without a reboot). This is NOT a problem in
real Dynamic C.
